Q.
How can I ensure a quality print job?
A.
The best way to assure the quality of your print job is to view a printed proof prior to printing. The proofing process will give you an opportunity to view a real sample, which can allow you to identify any design or print issues before the job is printed.
Q.
Will my files be reviewed prior to proofing?
A.
If there are technical issues with your file that can affect the proofing process, our design team will notify you via e-mail providing you the opportunity to update your file.
Q.
Can I see a proof of my project?
A.
If you select No (proceed with printing), a proof will not be provided. However, if you select Yes, our pressman and preflight department will review the printed proof and you will be notified when the proof is available for you to review.
Q.
Can I request a proof for a same day order?
A.
We can provide a proof with a same day pickup, but we do discourage it due to timing constraints.
Q.
Where can I view my proof?
A.
Printed proofs are available at our Boerum Hill location at 87 3rd Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11217. Viewing your proof at the print shop will allow you to raise any questions or concerns with our production team.
Q.
What happens when a job is on hold?
A.
A job placed on hold will delay your turnaround time. Although we make every attempt to maintain the desired turnaround schedule, delays in the proofing process will affect your turnaround time. We suggest having a discussion with our team during your visit.
Q.
Can I get a digital proof?
A.
Digital proofs are provided only when we design a project. If a PDF file is provided to us, a digital proof is not necessary.
Q.
Can I get a photo proof?
A.
It is not our policy to send photos of physical proofs because it does not accurately reflect the final print quality. If you would like a photo proof, we can provide one. However, please keep in mind that you would assume full responsibility for any errors or quality issues.
Q.
What is a sectional proof?
A.
For large format posters and banners, we do not print a full sample. Instead, we print a section of the design on a digital press. We try to focus on a section where an area of the design maybe low quality or difficult to read.
Q.
Can I make changes after reviewing the proof?
A.
After you review your proof, if you need to make changes and submit a new file, your order will be placed on hold until a new file is received. If you need to review a second proof, please make that request when you arrive. We also suggest modifying your new file to include print final and the latest date.
Q.
Can I see a proof prior to ordering?
A.
Printed proofs are provided only with orders.
Q.
Do you provide color matching for digital printing?
A.
Since customer monitors may vary based on resolution and quality, we do not provide color matching for digital printing. To maintain quality excellence in your printing project, we recommend using high quality images, colors and typeface.
